The power to my server went down, when I rebooted I had to reinstall oracle
entirely. I tried everything to repair my database, even created a new
database, but still could not get the listeners to connect to the new
database. Finally, I had to resort to reinstalling everything from the
ground up. Surely, oracle must be able to withstand improper system
shutdowns. Does anyone have any insight into this?
