Upgrading from V6 to V7

Hello,

I'm sure lots of people out there have upgraded their databases from Oracle Version 6 to Version 7. We have been told by our friendly Oracle support person that the upgrade process is complicated and difficult, and that it would be best if his company did it for us.

I am a bit surprised at this, since upgrading from version 5 to 6 (a bigger step, in my opinion) involved exporting our data, creating some partitions and converting some SQL*Forms and some dynamic SQL programs. Apart from the forms it wasn't much work.

Is it really that much harder to go from V6 to V7 ? Can anyone tell me what it involved for them ? Also, how necessary is it to upgrade the SQL*Forms package along with the rest of Oracle ? We would rather not have to upgrade our forms from V3 to V4, at least not all at once.
