I am trying to run SQL*DBA on a HP9000 using kermit terminal emulation but ran into some problems with VT100 terminal keyboard mapping on my PC (Enhanced-101 keyboard). *-----

We've had horrible problems with the keyboard and screen interfaces to both SQL*DBA and ORAINST. There is also a problem with these two programs apparently being sensitive to the network transport. AT&T Terranova and Kermit for DOS simply do not work if you come into the UNIX host over an OSI / AT&T StarGROUP connection. Everything is messed up, both key handling and output to the screen.

I WAS able to use Kermit to connect via OSI to another UNIX box, and then go rlogin via TCP/IP to the Oracle server, and establish usable ORAINST and SQL*DBA sessions in that way.

I'm using WRQ Reflections/2 and their TCP/IP connectivity suite right now to go TCP/IP over Ethernet directly from my desktop to our AT&T 3550 server, and it works just great. Everyone that's seen me use Reflections to open up multiple windows and sessions (great for installations, in particular) has wanted to get it.
