SQLDBA with kermit

I am trying to run SQL*DBA on a HP9000 using kermit terminal emulation but ran into some problems with VT100 terminal keyboard mapping on my PC (Enhanced-101 keyboard).

Specifically I tried using 'set key' command in kermit to map keys such as PF1 to PF4 to F1 to F4 respectively and also to map the 'Ins' key to activate SQL*DBA menu but all to no avail.

If someone has successfully used SQL*DBA with kermit, I'll appreciate some pointers there.
