There is a way to tell what the latest releases of Oracle are. We are a member of the TSS, a bulletin board-type of system that we modem up can can actually see all our TAR's, etc. On the menu is a Oracle version matrix in which you select the Operating system, machine type, etc, and it displays the current releases of Oracle for that configuration. (Note that this is the same system that you wait 15 minutes for an Oracle Tech support person to log into to tell you!)
