Can't remember, I think dev6i required Open Motif v2.1. I think 2.2 should be OK, but who knows... Check installation documentation.

Now, you can check if other GUI tools can start (if you installed them): g60desm (Graphics designer), rwbld60 (Report builder) t60desm (toolkit designer) and de60desm (PL/SQL designer).

I hope this is separate dev6i installation, in its own ORACLE_HOME? You can't install it in server's ORACLE_HOME.

I'm gonna check couple more things at home, I have dev6i installed on Linux Red Hat 6.2, with Open Motif 2.1, works perfect...
