How much memory are you going to put in the box?

The big advantage of the 64 bit version is that your SGA can be HUGE! Usually the SGA limit is either 2GB or 4GB depending on the platform, but it is typically 2GB.

11111111111111111111111111111111 (32 bits) = 4,398,046,511,103 bytes or
(4GB)

So, if your planning on building a HUGE SGA, go 64-bit... If not, 32-bit is fine. I think there is a performance hit associated with 64-bit, especially on machines with 32 bit architectures.
