Restricted data type attribute violation.

Hi; we are working with VB6.0, RDO and Oracle 8i; we have update our Oracle ODBC Driver to the version 8.01.65.00, and we start having this error:
Restricted data type attribute violation. The error arise when in the select clause when the sentence returns any null values (I've read that it happends with all the null values).

I've read all the messages at the newsgroups with the topic: "Restricted data type attribute violation.", and majority of the messages suggest to set the Retry count of the ODBC Connection to 0 or 1.

That error appear after updating the ODBC Driver from version 8.01.5 to 8.01.65;
Is there any official answer to the problem?
