Personal Oracle 8 compatibility problems with AMD Thunderbird CPU?

Hi folks,



I downloaded Personal Oracle 8 and tried installed it on my
AMD TBird CPU.  It failed when attempting to start the
database.  I said that the most likely reason was lack of
virtual memory.  This is definately not true.  I have 512MB
of RAM + 512MB of virtual memory on my Win98SE 
machine and my swap file hasn't even been touched yet.



This install works just fine on my P2-266 with 256MB of
RAM also with Win98SE so I'm left to wonder if its a CPU
problem.



Has anyone else had this happen to them?



Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
