newbie:client-server linux-windows

Hi,

I am a newbie with databases. So I need some big time help. What I want is the following:
1) I have SQL server 7.0 running on a windows NT server machine and I want to keep it that
way.

2) I have an oracle server running on a linux machine, this must become the client of the
windows machine.

3) I want to acces the database from my web page, an apache server. With the of ...? Please
don't tell me perl? Or are there some default scripts I can use?

I have no clue of to get this done, so I am searching for a step by step plan. Where can
I find this on the web? Or a good book?

Please help me!!!!
