NFS and Oracle

For reasons I don't have the space here to explain, the question was raised if it's valid to run Oracle on network mounted file systems (NFS). I remember once reading that this was a big NO. Other than the reliability (of the NFS) in that if a link is lost Oracle will want a recovery to occur, is there any other reasons?
