Glenn: Posting the same post to scads of groups whose subject matter is at best vaguely related to your post is considered spamming and in poor taste. Had you limited your post to modem specific groups, there would be far less heat.
BTW, I've bad mouthed Motorola/Codex on these groups and gotten personal replies from M/C high-ups. Seems they even have auto software that scans the groups looking for their name.
I'd suggest limiting your posts to appropriate groups. You CAN gets lots of good advice here if you ask appropriately!
