To all comp.databases.oracle subscribers:

I want to extend a sincere apology to all of you who received an unsolicited email message re: oracle job opportunities from me, Warren Clifton.

While most of you responded very positively to my message, a number of you were upset by my solicitation for resumes and referrals. To those of you who expressed an interest, thank you very much. I will contact each of you personally, but will not use this newsgroup as a medium for communicating my message.

To those of you I upset and offended, I apologize. I have tried to uphold the policy that one only post to the groups which best suite one's article and that one only send email to those individuals with a direct interest in the message. I thought that was what I was doing by making you aware of opportunities to use your Oracle skills. My mistake will not be repeated in future, I promise each of you.

I want to issue a personal apology to MS. Lee Levy who I offended twice. Lee, I REALLY am sorry.

For future reference, how do all of you feel about General Job Postings to the newsgroup? I have seen several job posting by others, but have tried to direct my job postings to us.jobs.offered or a similar group designed specifically for such postings.

I have been a subscriber to this newsgroup for a long time. I enjoy reading the tip and tidbits each of you share and especially enjoy the postings about Oracle in the media, etc.. From now on, I will limit my activity to reading postings to the newsgroup.

Sincerely,

Warren Clifton Received on Thu May 09 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
