Oracle itself works fine on NT.

+ for NT:	- simple to install
		- no tuning needed

- for NT:	- uses 16 MB more than Unix, on average
		- no easy way to do online backups of Oracle DB
		- remote support (over phones)

+ for Unix:	- easy adaptation
		- tunability
		- scalability
		- remote support easy

- for Unix:	- more knowledgable admin needed

That said, once a system is setup (by the VAR/consultant) small customers tend not to touch their system anyway. Remote support tends to be more complex using NT.

So depends on who does what mostly.
