Avoid it if you can. You may end up with lots of GPF or its equivalent and have to do recovery. Even with 16 MB it is very slow. I am using 486SX with 16 MB and it took about 3-5 minutes to bring up the database! SQL*PLUS response time was more than 10 seconds unless you are using the same statement (ie cached data).
