I think it's a great idea! Sure there are people wanting to read postings on several subjects/products (including myself). But what's wrong with reading several newsgroups? I'm doing this already.

Even when you're reading several groups, it has an advantage. I myself read the group once a day. I would love it if the posting would be divided per subject/products. This way I can go through all the postings on Des/2000 followed by all the ones about Forms etc. etc.

This way I can really be "in to" a subject when reading/answering the postings. Plus splitting the newsgroup has the obvious advantage of ignoring a lot of postings.

I hope someone agrees that has experience with setting up newsgroups. I do not know the exact procedure but it's something about requesting votes and couting the votes. This way the majority speaks! If there someone who has experience with setting up these kind of votings: go ahead. Even if you do NOT agree with splitting the group up. Use this voting to prove your point! Come on, there must be someone out there?
