You can apparently run the SCO binaries of Oracle on Linux, with the SCO kernel patch. If this DOES work, I would strongly recommend it -- Linux is as stable as SCO, but free, and in many cases faster. It also comes with gcc, X11R6, TeX, vi, EMACS, ....... pre-installed.
