Does anyone know of a floating point rounding problem occuring when
creating
an export file?
I created an export file with the export utility.
I was running under Oracle server 7.0.16.4.0 on a VAX VMS system. I have
fields
in a table defined as FLOAT(126). When I later imported this file I
noticed that
my floating point data was rounded. ie. A value of .4 became 0 and a
value
of .8 got rounded up to 1. The rounding appears to have affected all
floating
point columns in the table.
I heard that there was some undocumented problem regarding this issue from some other people.
Can anyone confirm that this problem did indeed exist in this version?
