Oracle themselves offer two choices for IMS connectivity:
For high transaction volumes, they have a procedural gateway to APPC. Sits on it's own dedicated RS/6000, so no code on mainframe.
The just announced transparent gateway to EDA/SQL. This code will sit on the mainframe, and is more for low-moderate volumes. General availability is still a few months away. You could probably sign up for beta, tho.
