There is an argument for oparse which behaves as you remember. It is not clear from the documentation whether if a parse is forced to immediate that this applies to binds done after the parse or whether they are deferred until the execute. I would like to be sure how the Windows/NT OCI libraries are linked. I have received several e-mail replies that have been helpful, but none of the windows NT equivalents of the manuals or files people have mentioned ever states anything specific about OCI deferred mode linking.

Fortunately I found the bug I was looking for this time. I would like to know exactly what ORACLE OCI is doing for future reference.

Thanks for the many replies to my query, Ted McFadden
