startup

Hi,

  I am running Oracle Version 6.0.37.3.1 on a Solaris 2.3 machine.   When I get into sqldba and run "startup" I get the message

  "Datebase Mounted"

  and then it just sits there. I cannot connect external. Is there   anyway that I can tell if a rollback is being done or see what is   going on.
