Can you DESCRIBE or print a schema?

Is there a way to get the create table, create index, .. statements from my database?
I saved all the create table, create index .. statements in a file. But is this the only reference I have, if I wanted to create my database again. Is there a tool to generate SQL statements directly from the data dictionary.

If anyone has used INFORMIX, it had tools such as 'dbschema' which generated SQL statements (such as create table) for the entire database.
