I recently upgraded to CASE Tools for Oracle V7 from CASE Tools for V6 on a Sun Sparc 10 running Sun OS 4.1.3. I a experiencing very slow performance and sometimes commiting one record could take more than 30 mins. This is drastically slower than CASE Tools for Version 6. I made sure that nobody else was dragging performance down by checking for users hitting against the databse. The recommended database parameters in the installation guide for CASE Tools are set correctly. When I check processes by the 'ps -aux' command, I can see a SQL Net two task process using up 60%-90% CPU when a transaction is commiting. The funny thing is that the performance meter will show little to no disk I/O, paging and network traffic. Thinking that the SQL Net two task driver could be the culprit I switched to using the pipe driver and fast two task driver, but performance was the same. Oracle tech support was little help. My SGA size shows:

Total System Global Area 5363336 bytes
              Fixed Size 38260 bytes
           Variable Size 4165908 bytes
        Database Buffers 1126400 bytes
            Redo Buffers 32768 bytes

I'm not sure if my SGA is big enough. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
