I have oracle installed by the oracle consultant on a Sun Sparc II, version 6. I created a database on the server, I couldn't access it as a user either from the server or from client machines. The error is as followings:
ERROR: ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-07320: smsget: shmat error when trying to attach sga.
SunOS Error: 13: Permission denied
Additional information: 2
I phone the oracle tech support, they said is something to do with permissions. He needs to talk to the consultant. I haven't gotten an answer yet.
The second problem is with Sun type5 keyboard. With the oracle supplied sun5.r files, I could use some keys but the select (home) and anything that requires PrSc key does not function. Does anyone out there that has sun type5 terminal files available?
Any help or pointers would be appreciated. Please send e-mails to the above address. Thank you.
