IMHO, Forms is not going to die in the next years.

I am not familiar with Java in Forms (since we do not use it), but I feel that Java is more important on Web Forms - but there are companies that still work with DS6i (not 9i !) in a closed C/S env,

because nobody wants to spent money now for just another feature ... both setting up a new system
or a migration makes the CEO headaches ... meanwhile they are getting that things are not that easy ...
