I think that's because your question is first vague
and rather wordy, I mean everything btw "I'm new.."
to "...look at Oracle" is really NOT info required
to help you or solve a problem, is it ?
So I'd suggest you just give the pure, cold FACTS
relevant to the problem in this forum to make the
best of it. That's my experience.

Why ! I'd think schools...training centers....CBT...on-line learning.... BOOKS(good old teach your-self)...I'd think Australia is a well-developed country where such resource is aboundant. Now if you're in Afghanistan or Iaq......

I'm puzzled why you need to be concerned with this at this time.
There's plenty to learn just about Oracle everything(concepts,tools,
language...etc)
Why do you want to bring "other things" into the picture to divert your
focus
on Oracle ? I thought you're totally new. Do you know SQL ?
