Hi,

I've installed Designer on our Solaris box. When running the database data transformer to generate a table from the entity, the datatype is not transferred i.e. I end up with tables without datatypes. UNLESS, I do this as the repository owner.

The same installation onto a Win NT box works OK i.e. the datatypes are transferred as both a subordinate user and as repository owner.

Transferring the NT schema to the Solaris box also results in a similarly failing repository - so I'm assuming that it's not an installation issue.

I've raised a TAR with Oracle, but not had much success in finding a solution. In the end they said that although they didn't know of any documented problems, Designer was not certified against 64-bit databases.

Has anyone else managed to get Designer6i R2 working correctly on their 64-bit database?

Has anyone any idea as to what the underlying problem might be?

Andy
