We are looking into replication with Designer also; because we have developers in 2 cities 1000 miles apart - Designer locally takes 15 seconds to generate a form; it take 10 minutes to generate the same form "remotely". Our network guys say the network (VPN/ T-1 connection) is as fast as it is going to get. One option is replication, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. (If any one has tried this, I would be interested in their input...)
