OAS 4.0.8.1 Configuration Problem

    I am struggling with the installation of OAS 4.0.8.1 on windows NT SP-5. I have installed the OAS and started the Server Manager, where I tried to start the all OAS processes for the site by clicking on 'Start' icon of the site's main page with 'ALL' option selected. The command continues for long and gives the following messege in the end.

Execute STOP of all the OAS Processes from the OAS Manager'

Can somebody tell me why does it happen? I am unable to start any listener because of this.
