[Quoted] According to Oracle's JAVA documentation for 8i, use JAVA only for computationally extensive work and use PLSQL for database intensive work. PLSQL is hard to beat in performance when it comes to database interaction.
And remember Oracle has officially announced that PLSQL is here to stay along with JAVA. JAVA WILL NOT REPLACE PLSQL.
