Hi,
This question relates to OAS 4.0.7 and later versions, running either JWeb cartridge or the JServlet cartridge. (Re-sending as the message did not appear to go through the first time I sent...):

Given that OAS comes with a Java 1.1 VM, how would I go about modifying the OAS setup so that it uses a 1.2 VM?

I spoke with an Oracle tech support rep, who told me that any use of a 1.2 VM would be "unsupported" (no surprise there). But he also said that various customers have in fact used a 1.2 VM with OAS, and it seems to work for them. So I asked, "How would I reconfigure OAS to use a 1.2 VM," and the Oracle support rep had no idea.

So... how would I upgrade OAS to use a 1.2 VM? I already tried modifying one of the settings in the OAS manager -- I think it was the PATH setting, that was originally set to something like %ORACLE_HOME%\jdk\bin, which I modified so that it pointed to the directory where I've got a java 1.2 vm installed. But that didn't work -- OAS then complained that it couldn't find various DLLs. So how DO I make OAS do Java 1.2?

Dave
