I installed oracle 8i (applied patch 8.1.5.0.2) on my RedHat 6.1 box. The machine is PIII, 128M ram. Everything was OK during the installation. I created the database using dbassist. Also tested the database by create user, create table, etc. Then I shutdown the database and restarted the Linux system. After that, when I issue startup command under svrmgl, it gave an error: Failure in processing system parameters. Please help me figure out what I missed. Many thanks! --Helen Received on Thu Jan 27 2000 - 04:56:18 CET
