In Forms 4.5, spell-checking is accomplished by defining your favorite word processor (MS Word, Word Perfect, etc) as the System Editor. Set the item's Editor property to SYSTEM_EDITOR. In the registry, create the environment variable FORMS45_EDITOR and specify the path of the word processor. Now, when the user presses Ctrl-e (it must be a lower-case "e"), the word processor will be invoked instead of the default editor.
I don't know if Forms 5.0 has improved upon this methodology or not.
