Re: Problem with ORACLE_HOME during Des/2K Upgrade on NT4.0

Prior tp NT4, the Oracle for NT was only a 'revised' set of windows 3 type binaries that the newer Oracle installer sees as a Windows 16bit environment ( Or so I was told by someone at Oracle some time ago) - In order to deal with this, you may have to install into a new Oracle_Home ,copy any custom sql or stuff you have saved in the original structure and then delete the original oracle_home : Or if you need to have oracle_home set to e:\orant, then do the above, recreate the directory structure in a new e:\orant and edit the registry entries to refer to it.

I don't know of any way around the installer's refusal to use the existing oracle_home.
