Hello Ian,
I wrote an Oracle to Excel tool which is the solution for the problem you have. You can obtain information about it at
http://members.aol.com/gjlinker/projects/oraxcel
Oraxcel is a addin for Excel which allows you to query your Oracle databases. It fetches the results directly into spreadsheets. This way you can concentrate on the analysis. The formatting, printing and charting is easially done in Excel.
On my site I have screen previews and a full description of the product. It is distributed as shareware which allows you to evaluate it for 30 days. I kindly ask anyone to register the software for $20.
Kind regards, Gerrit-Jan Linker
