Roles and Responsibilities  

1. An in depth understanding of Virtualization technologies, VMware Server and ESX server experience in an enterprise. Use of HA/DRS functionality.
2. Proficient on VMware technologies like:-VMware High-Availability, DRS, Storage etc.
3. Install/Configuration/ manage VMware 5.5,6.0 and 6.5
4. Good understanding of Virtual switch, Distributed Virtual Switch ( DVS ) and network design. Good understanding of related storage technologies, e.g. SAN, NAS and NFS
5. Good understanding of ESX events and logs.
6. Good understanding and experience in P2V and V2V technologies .
7. Experience in backup and recovery of Virtual machines and virtual servers
8. Understanding of VMware Heartbeat will be advantage but not required.
9. Knowledge of Windows System administration & Hardware management.
10. Engineer should be familiar with ITIL process.
11. VCP Certification(Preferred).
12. Understanding & exposure & expertise to VBlock technology
13. Expertise in UCS deployment and maintenance
