Hi Scott,

as far as I know, DMU is only capable of converting to AL32UTF8 / UTF8.

Csscan is only supported for database version 11.X; with Version 12c, only DMU is supported.

Why not go directly to AL32UTF8?

Regards

Betreff: Character Set Migration Questions

I have an Oracle 12.1.0.2 database that is US7ASCII and needs to be converted to WE8ISO8859P15. I tried using the DMU, but I can't figure out how to choose the characterset that I want. It only gives me the option of going to either AL32UTF8 or UTF8.

The other option I've come across is using the older CSSCAN utility, but that isn't installed with 12c and I can't figure out where to find it. I don't want to have to go back and build the database from scratch. Is there any other way to do this?
