Try flushing shared pool and buffer cache then rerun it and see if that helps.

I'm running a dbms_stats.gather_schema_stats job thru a unix job and it runs for a while then fails with a
ORA-01013: user requested cancel of current operation
I didn't cancel the job so why is this stopping?
