I don't think I would call Oracle "State of the Art"; more like a file system in thin disguise.

Standard SQL has the SQL/PSM and CTE (Common Table Expressions), so we are computationally complete. But the truth is that most commercial users do not need recursion to do a payroll, keep an inventory, etc. Received on Thu May 12 2005 - 08:59:18 CDT
