Thanks, Steve -- I found it on CDP, but it sure isn't clear whether there is a point somewhere in that mess. It sounds like someone made a point about how easy it is to query a PICK database using PICK queries compared to a 1NF database with SQL I found where people had to define the query -- were they looking for cars that were red and blue or what, but I didn't find any clear counter-example claiming that SQL queries are easier. Ah well -- rainy day material unless there is laundry to do. smiles. --dawn
