Hello -
I am attempting to install oracle 8i on a i386, 233mHz, 128meg ram and
am having trouble with the Java universal installer. I have rebuilt
the kernel to accomidate larger semaphores and shared mem, and have
increase the swap to 500+ megs. The problem is that about 50% through
the install, the machine just locks up. Any ideas as to how to debug
this, or if it is possible to install oracle 8i without the java
installer?
any input would be of help,
james
