It's possible that power fail or even the motherboard logic crashes your disk. When a motherboard or a controller hangs up, or even writes something stupid om your disk, mirroring doesn't work. (you can try archive log mode).
When a disk-head crases your database doesn't even go down when you're mirroring.
The question is: How much money will you spend to buy more hardware or how urgent is your problem when database crashes. Greetings Cor
