Massive Disclaimer: I do *not* speak for Oracle!

I know of no such announcement.

Other people in this thread have commented on some of the business and technical reasons why "dropping" UNIX would be suboptimimal in the extreme. I don't expect that Orcle will change its primary server development platform from UNIX in the forseeable future.

However, there *is* growing recognition in Oracle that NT is an excellent database platform for the workgroup, especially in a MicroSoft-only shop. There are a number of changes taking place in Oracle that recognize and respond to this.

Of course, if you're talking about client-side tools ({Developer,Discoverer,Designer}/2000) then the move to Windows as the base development platform was made some time ago.
