Allbase to Oracle Hellllp

I need help. My company runs a large T500 (HP-UX) based installation. When we went to this system the upper management decided to go to Allbase as a database engine. Allbase has been a disappointment.

We are getting ready to upgrade the OS to version 10.X and we can not because Allbase has not yet been released for this version of the OS. Currently, we are beginning to look at other database options such as Oracle.

Has anyone on this news group ever been on Allbase and switched to another database platform? We desperately need information regarding this type of conversion.

For example, did you do it yourself? Were consultants hired from the Database company? How long did the migration take?

We are looking for any guidance possible. Also are there any other allbase users that are thinking about switching and if so what are the reasons. Please send the response by email to sam_at_misha.net.
