Hello, has anybody ever seen control file corruption like this in Oracle Release 7.2.3?

SQLDBA> Connected.
SQLDBA> ORACLE instance started.
ORA-00205: error in identifying control file '/u08/oradata/CUSC/CUSCctl1.dbf' ORA-07366: sfifi: invalid file, file does not have valid header block. Attempting to shutdown instance........ORACLE instance shut down. SQLDBA>
SQL*DBA complete.

Apparently all the control files were corrupted including the mirrors.

Also, the DBA's inadvertantly reset the redo log information in the control file but had the information in the redo files. Is there any way in future to resync the conotrol files redo information with that of the redo files in order to apply the redo files? Received on Mon Jun 03 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
