Hi,

We have the same configuration and it works fine. We have Oracle 7 running on HP-UX and have Delphi C/S clients running on Win 3.1, Windows '95 and Windows NT. I am now trying to get it going under OS/2 Warp Connect 3.0, but IBM is well in a world of their own. I have to figure out what all these blasted acronyms mean and read lots of manuals first, I guess.

My only complaint is that I cannot get seem to get Delphi to work with Oracle's SQL*NET version 2.0 connect strings. Those are the ones that use the TNSNAMES file to alias the the data base names. However, everything works fine using SQL*NET version 1 connect strings. Those are the one's that look like T:hostname:database.

We had some problems initially with having active queries connected to Oracle while running in the IDE. The solution was to keep all Oracle queries inactive while debugging. Luckily for us, we only access Oracle occasionally for batch moves into a local Paradox data base, so extensive debugging with active Oracle connections is not really needed.

Regards,
