Database Specialist - to 30K

The company is to looking to recruit a database specialist to help in the further development of it's product. The occupier of this position will be responsible for enhancing database performance and reliability, ensuring portability across platforms, improving database design mechanisms, and generally enabling the company and their clients to get the most out of their chosen relational database platforms. S/he will also be responsible for keeping abreast of developments in the marketplace and advising senior management of tools, techniques and opportunities that woold help the company's development.

The company's chosen RDBMS platforms are Sybase and Oracle with MS-SQL Server to be added 1996.

Applicants should be very bright and have an excellent academic background. They must have at least two solid years Oracle experience through which they should have gained a deep understanding of database design as well as the features and nuances of the Oracle product set. Applicants should also be able to program competently in either C or C++ and have the personality and comunication skills to influence the decisions of staff, clients and senior management.
