The official name of this product is Mobile Agents. Oracle Mobile Agents allows mobile workers, with e.g. laptops to easily and efficiently get acces to data in their central database via Dialup (modem), Wireless (RAM Mobile Data) or LAN (TCP/IP) connections. You can think of field sales applications where salespeople have a laptop, go to customers and e.g. enter orders or check the pricebook wireless at the customer site.
