Hello,
Just a general question. When Oracle commits a transaction, it writes to the redo log file. But generally, e.g. on Unix, the redo log file itself will be buffered by the file system cache. So is there really a guarnatee that the changes to redo log file would be permanent? What happen will the system crash between Oracle commit and the file system actually flush the buffer cache?
