Need help on connection with Visual Basic using ODBC

I looking into connecting Oracle (on MS/DOS/Windows PC and a VAX/VMS server) with Visual Basic using ODBC. The problem is that we're still using Oracle 6 and it seems this version has no ODBC driver. Can anybody tell me the possibilities Oracle 7 offers and how this connection can be realised?
